Jamie Lawson is an Australian composer currently undertaking his PhD candidature at the University of Aberdeen. With a focus on the role music technology plays in extending human capacities to engage with “alien” sonic environments, Jamie creatively and conceptually explores notions of “alienness” through the audibility of objects, spaces and places. After a period expanding his compositional practice with creative-coding techniques, Aux-In-Pulse returns to the tactility offered by faders, dials and switches in the form of live no-input mixing.
